It always surprises me to learn that folks do not realize you do not need a Kindle to read Kindle books. Amazon has a free reading app that allows you to read Kindle books on almost every computer, tablet, smartphone or other gizmo you can think of. Summing It All Up
This week there is a lot going on behind the scenes at Strategic Living. If all goes well, by next week the site will be running in super-secure mode under HTTPS and will be fully accessible as strategiclivingblog.com.
In the meantime, I am cooking up a storm in the kitchen and learning how to be a full-time homemaker. How fun is that?

I feel really dumb, but I can’t seem to make this work. The Amazon page is telling me the download only works with KindleUnlimited, and the KindleUnlimited is only free for the first 30 days. After that it’s $10 a month. What am I doing wrong?
Help?
Don’t feel dumb. The process can be a bit confusing the first time you snag what I call a “free at the moment” eBook.
If you look at the price for a Kindle version of the book, it will say $0.00. As long as you see that (zero cost), you need to make a purchase by clicking “Buy now with 1-click”. The order will go through like a regular sale, but the amount with be zero. I promise you that this works!
