Thank you for your post! I've been using EO for about 8 years, both for myself and my animals. I learned about EO use at a Natural Horsemanship Clinic. I was interested because my horse had trouble with almost all of the commercial fly sprays. I began blending custom sprays to give him relief. Most worked much better than any commercial products. So even if I had to apply them twice a day, (we live in Florida, with horrific humidity and heat from May until October), they were economical to use.

I was hooked and began researching other conditions I could use the oils for. If my horse comes to me and shows me that his tummy feels colicky, he absolutely wants peppermint oil to lick and applied over his abdomen. It soothes him. I use lavender & distilled water mix to clean gunky eyes on him and my cats or dog. I've also made a similar mix for us and find it brings great relief from itchy allergy eyes!

I will look forward to further posts from your blog. Will be adding the recipes to my notebook for sure!

In reply to <a href="https://strategiclivingblog.com/nuts-and-bolts-of-essential-oils/#comment-722">Wanda Hartman</a>.

Thanks, Wanda. In the past, I have been bogged down by thinking I had to write long, detailed posts with lots of attention-getting pictures. That has slowed me down and made the process of sharing a bit of chore.

I am so over that!

Fingers crossed, I will have my "miracle healing stick" DIY ready to post before the end of the year.

Happy holidays to you and thanks for checking in!
