In reply to <a href="https://strategiclivingblog.com/easy-homemade-melt-pour-soaps/#comment-2799">Michelle O</a>.

I have spent years baking and cooking to stay as natural as possible, locally sourcing as much as possible. The last three years or so I have begun a journey on the essential oils road, and in the last year started making soaps, cold and hot process. Gardening and herbs are such a wonderful addition to all this! I love the thought of being self sustaining, and have used the Nerdy Farmwife many times for recipes, ideas, and help!

About 5 years ago, it hit me that what I wanted to do more now then ever was to stop relying on corporate companies and focusing more of my attention to local business, farmers’ market and craft fairs. I also want to also learn as much as I can to make things on my own especially food and health and beauty. It scares me to eat out and use products since my list of allergies is as long as me. I am soo proud of all the people who do it on their own, it motivates me to want to learn too.

I live in a major city and can't do much about some environmental factors but I can choose to use healthier products especially for our largest organ the skin!
